Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

After taking our two-day MHFA course you will be able to:

  • Recognise the symptoms and signs of mental health issues
  • Be able to approach, assess and assist a person who may want you to listen or who may need information
  • Guide a person appropriately towards appropriate professional help
  • Encourage other support

MHFA will not teach you how to be a therapist but on completion of the two-day course you will have a nationally recognised certificate to prove you are a Mental Health First Aider.

Debbie Brewin, an accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Karen Camp, a CIPD Learning & Development qualified professional trainer will be facilitating the course.

The cost of the course is £250 per person and includes full course manuals, refreshments and lunch.
